Job summary

Actalent, based in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Quality Engineer to turn engineering designs into reliable, high-quality products. This hands-on role requires collaboration with manufacturing, testing, and production teams to identify issues and drive continuous quality improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a manufacturing QA or related role, strong GD&T knowledge, and ASQ-CQA-RAB certification or training with hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM.
• 5+ years of manufacturing environment experience in roles such as Manufacturing Engineer, Test Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or Quality Engineer.
• ASQ-CQA-RAB certified lead auditor or training with hands-on experience.
• Proficiency with quality tools such as DOE, statistical process control, RCA, APQP, PFMEA.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA for Electrical and Mechanical systems, including drawings, production and test operations inspection signoffs and verification of compliance to procedures.
• Advise and solve problems with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams on product quality and safety.
• Create inspection plans for assigned work centers and support real-time during operations on the implementation of the plans.
• Identify quality-related issues and risks across product lines and drive process improvements with stakeholders.
• Support audits to ensure compliance to customer requirements, procedures, policies, and ISO standards.
• Utilize corrective and preventive action processes to address non-conformances and drive quality management improvements.
• Support Supply Chain in quality inspections of supplier systems and ongoing performance monitoring.
