Job summary

ECC is seeking an Onsite Quality Control Manager for the Portland Tank Repairs project. You will implement and manage the project's QC program to ensure work conforms with contract requirements, plans, specs, and industry standards.

The role requires coordinating with project staff, subcontractors, and client representatives to maintain compliance throughout all phases. Main duties include leading the QC plan, coordinating inspections, reviewing submittals, RFIs, and testing, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of Quality Control experience; up to two years as Assistant Quality Control Manager may count
• Experience as Site Superintendent or Quality Control Manager on similar size and type construction contracts
• Fuels-related major construction trades experience (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Coatings) or equivalent
• Education substitution allowed up to two years; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current USACE or NAVFAC Quality Control Management Certification; valid for POP duration

Responsibilities

• Work on-site to ensure construction activities meet contract specs and codes
• Manage and implement the Quality Control Plan and quality management processes
• Coordinate Three-Phase Control Process: Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up inspections
• Conduct and document inspections to verify compliance with requirements
• Review submittals, RFIs, testing, and QC documentation
• Ensure materials/equipment on-site meet contract requirements
• Monitor subcontractor performance for QC compliance
• Coordinate testing activities and maintain QC records
• Prepare quality reports, logs, deficiency notices, and corrective actions
• Participate in project meetings and client communications
• Maintain organized project records in PM systems
• Perform additional duties to support project objectives
