Job summary

Xcimer Energy, based in Denver, CO, is seeking a Pulsed Power Operations Engineer to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the pulsed power components of a state‑of‑the‑art laser system. You will learn from subject‑matter experts and contribute to safe, reliable experimental campaigns.

You will work with engineers, technicians, and scientists to implement system upgrades, build operational infrastructure, and develop procedures for the Phoenix pulsed power system.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of pulsed power or high voltage test operations experience (preferred).
• Entry-level engineers encouraged to apply.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical docs.
• Strong safety and hands-on lab capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve pulsed-power systems and hardware.
• Perform electrical diagnostics using oscilloscopes and meters to evaluate performance.
• Analyze waveforms and data to identify faults and root causes.
• Inspect, test, and replace high‑voltage components.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation.
• Train and qualify as Pulsed Power Controller for the Phoenix Laser System.
