Job summary

Greystar in Daytona Beach is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform routine and preventive maintenance across the community, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and appearance meet Greystar standards.

You will manage work orders, coordinate with vendors, supervise make-ready tasks for vacant units, and support budget goals while upholding OSHA and MSDS requirements. A high school diploma and hands-on maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional capacity.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets; PM system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills to handle basic financial and administrative documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and diagnose defects.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and schedule vendors as needed.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and buildings.
• Inspect work by others and contractors to ensure quality.
• Maintain inventory and assist Community Manager with budget needs.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA/MSDS compliance.
