Job summary

Crawford & Company is expanding its IN-OFFICE Desk Operations in Peachtree Corners, GA. We seek Desk Adjusters to handle Property Catastrophe claims onsite with a 40-hour weekly schedule, possible weekends, and overtime as needed.

Local residency and reliable transportation are required; report onsite as required. Roles involve gathering information, analyzing coverage, and settling losses with minimal supervision, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high claim standards.

Qualifications

• College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of experience investigating, evaluating and creating estimates for exterior and interior residential property claims.
• 2–4 years' experience in insurance handling property claims, construction, damage evaluation and estimating, building repair or similar backgrounds preferred.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret residential property insurance policies to claims handling.
• Knowledge of ISO policies, terms and conditions.
• Proficient in computer skills; comfortable learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Examine claims forms, policies and endorsements to determine coverage.
• Communicate claim process via written correspondence and phone.
• Utilize technology to investigate property losses, determine coverage, set reserves and estimate damages.
• Prepare reports collecting and summarizing information required by clients and Crawford.
• Settle claims per carrier liability and client instructions, maintaining proactive communication throughout.
• Maintain SLA adherence and a high standard of claim quality.
• Keep licenses current and pursue continuing education.
