Job summary

American Family Insurance is seeking a senior Property Claims Adjuster to handle homeowner property field claims in the Georgia area. This is a field-focused role, with about 80% time in the field and occasional office visits for engagement activities.

You will report to the Property Claim Manager and operate within the South Fulton, Douglasville, Peachtree City or Newnan regions. The position requires a valid driver's license, strong knowledge of policies and endorsements, and Xactimate

Qualifications

• Experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line homeowner claims.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policies and endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of claims and communicates with insureds, claimants, and others.
• Handles first- and third-party claims under multiple policy types.
• Performs on-site inspections and evaluates damages; negotiates with involved parties.
• Provides status updates and guidance to customers; mentors less experienced adjusters.
