Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a team on a major semiconductor project in Boise, Idaho. The role focuses on managing the electrical scope, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring on-schedule delivery of project milestones.

You will oversee cost tracking, change orders, procurement, and closeout activities, while upholding safety and quality standards. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years PM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager role
• Experience supporting data center/semiconductor projects
• Knowledge of electrical construction (5-year apprentice program)
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite; strong communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts: scope, change orders, pricing, and closeout obligations
• Lead pre-job planning and risk analysis with team coordination
• Develop manpower plans and schedules; communicate changes promptly
• Establish and control budgets; track job costs and cash flow
• Oversee submittals, O&M docs, and closeout deliverables
• Handle major purchase orders and subcontracts; monitor invoices
• Ensure quality and safety standards with field leadership
• Manage project correspondence, RFIs, and reports to leadership
• Coordinate billing, collections, and change order inclusion
• Oversee payroll, labor reporting, and union coordination
• Perform cost-to-complete reporting and earned value analysis
• Lead change order development and pricing; track against contract value
• Support project closeout activities and retention release
• Participate in estimator coordination and pre-qualification efforts
• Perform additional duties as assigned
