Job summary

Eagle Electrical Services, an EMCOR Company, seeks a Project Manager in Training to oversee project engineers and assistants, coordinate scheduling with project supervisors, and ensure work is performed within budget and schedule. This is an in-person role located in Plain City, OH.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of electrical construction experience and a high school diploma or GED, with proficiency in MS Office and related PM software.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3–5 years related experience in electrical construction or similar industry.
• Familiarity with electrical, technical, or construction programs (Accubid, AutoCAD, Revit) a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall flow of projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee project organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
• Support field personnel with subcontractor relations and problem resolution.
• Maintain financial responsibility for projects and understand construction accounting.
• Ensure project documents (insurance, bonding, permits, submittals, RFIs) are managed.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress/cost tracking reports.
• Inspect projects for compliance with codes and environmental regulations.
• Select subcontractors and equipment suppliers with input from engineering and purchasing.
• Distribute drawings to field personnel and manage value/billing schedules.
• Create project schedules showing completion/delivery dates and manpower needs.
• Communicate notice requirements and issue follow-ups as needed.
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate delivery notices for major equipment.
• Attend meetings with internal and external teams to review progress and issues.
• Assist accounting with monthly billings and collections.
• Collaborate with foreman on safety and site walkthroughs.
• Obtain as-builts and CAD from engineering as required.
• Escalate critical issues to Division Manager/Project Executive with recommendations.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety programs.
