Job summary

Albemarle in Pasadena, TX seeks a Site Project Manager/Project Engineer to lead capital manufacturing projects from concept through start-up, ensuring safety, cost, schedule and operability goals in an in-office role. You will partner with cross-functional teams, manage resources, develop technical docs, oversee project controls and drive continuous improvement within Corporate Engineering.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years chemical/petrochemical experience, and SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years engineering experience in chemical/petrochemical, 5+ years in project engineering/management.
• Knowledge of project controls, cost structures, contracting strategies.
• Experience with SAP Project module and related transactions.
• Ability to drive alignment across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage CAPEX manufacturing projects up to $2.5MM from concept through start-up, ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and operability goals.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, and deliverables, and secure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain quality and timeliness of safety activities and ensure strong safety leadership and visible field presence.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including engineering, procurement, and construction services, to successfully deliver projects.
• Lead development, review, and execution of technical documentation, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards.
• Manage project controls, including cost forecasting, change management, and schedule performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Corporate Engineering to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
