Job summary

Albemarle is seeking a Site Project Engineer in Pasadena, TX to lead capital projects from concept to commissioning on-site. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives, and overseeing EPC activities with a focus on continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of capital project leadership experience in industrial settings, with knowledge of PSM, MOC, and SAP PS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience leading capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of cost forecasting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Working knowledge of process safety management (PSM) and management of change (MOC) requirements.
• Experience with EPC contractors and front-end loading (FEL) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept development through commissioning, serving as the single point of accountability for project delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, and site leadership.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and resource planning.
• Manage project performance to meet or exceed safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across engineering, operations, and leadership.
• Oversee engineering design, contractor performance, and EPC activities to ensure high-quality execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal project controls while promoting continuous improvement and constructability best practices.
