Job summary

Albemarle Corporation in Pasadena, TX is seeking an Industrial Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems supporting petrochemical operations. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, an electrical license or equivalent certification, and at least 5 years of industry experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Electrical state license or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience in petrochemical/chemical/refining/manufacturing environments.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, and distribution systems.
• Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage equipment, including switchgear, transformers, breakers, relays, and splices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance in hazardous environments.
• Good communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment in manufacturing facility.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, controls, lighting, switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop sheets, isometric drawings, and manuals.
• Utilize diagnostic testing equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and frequency meters.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems and motor-related issues with accurate maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to establish priorities and safely execute work.
