Job summary

Kokosing, a leading general contractor, seeks an onsite Construction Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for heavy highway and bridge projects in Charleston, WV. You will work with craft teams to align design, field execution, and schedule using Primavera P6.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 4+ years of construction engineering experience; bridge experience is a strong plus and PE is preferred but not

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• (4)+ years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Heavy Highway and bridge projects.
• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions including planning, assignments, and administration.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; contractability reviews, etc.
