Job summary

Aerotek in South Bend, IN is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee all activities on a manufacturing shift, lead multiple departments, and ensure production goals are met. This hands-on role requires spending most time on the floor, coaching teams, and coordinating with shift leaders to ensure smooth handoffs.

You will drive safety, apply lean principles, monitor equipment, and manage 15+ employees across 45 departments to hit schedules while maintaining ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a production supervisor in industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the entire shift across 45 departments and 15+ employees.
• Spend ~70% on the production floor observing operations and guiding staff.
• Motivate, coach and develop employees to maintain productivity and engagement.
• Ensure all tasks are completed each shift and address issues to protect output.
• Conduct pass-over meetings and create action plans for the next shift.
• Provide cross-coverage and cross-train across the facility.
• Maintain safety and enforce procedures, ensuring ISO-related compliance.
• Apply lean principles to identify inefficiencies and reduce waste.
• Monitor equipment and escalate downtime issues to minimize impact.
