Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Contract Production Project Manager to support a medical device manufacturing operation in Mooresville, NC. The role requires onsite leadership to coordinate programs across departments from order intake to final delivery.

The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional projects, improve communication, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• PM with multi-department coordination and delivery oversight.
• Experience leading projects from initiation to completion.
• Ability to influence teams and drive accountability without direct reporting lines.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer programs and production projects from order intake through manufacturing and final product delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, production priorities, timelines, action items, and status updates.
• Monitor CNC machining, inspection, secondary operations, assembly, and final delivery stages.
• Partner with production scheduling and department leaders to align resources and priorities.
• Identify bottlenecks, quality concerns, and dependencies that may affect delivery commitments.
• Assign issues to owners and ensure follow-through until resolution.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication and maintain momentum across departments.
• Recommend practical process improvements to strengthen workflow and visibility.
• Assist with process mapping and establishing consistent project management practices.
• Provide timely updates on progress, risks, delays, and required actions.
