Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services in Fort Worth seeks a Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery. The role is full-time and on-site, collaborating with industrial, quality, process, and product teams to improve throughput and reduce variability.

You will develop work instructions, SOPs, and operator training; manage SPC and process capability; support NPI and product transfers; and mentor technicians while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in process design, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement within manufacturing.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools; familiarity with SQL or scripting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment (lifting/standing).

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and waste; implement solutions to increase throughput and reduce cycle time.
• Lead root-cause investigations for defects and downtime using structured methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, FMEA).
• Develop, validate, and optimize process flows, work instructions, SOPs, and operator training materials.
• Implement and maintain SPC systems; analyze production data to monitor process capability and trends.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and product transfers into manufacturing.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to design or specify tooling, fixtures, gauges, and test equipment.
• Identify and drive automation improvements with controls and automation teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through project proposals and cost-benefit analyses.
• Work with quality engineering to define inspection criteria and implement corrective/preventive actions.
