Job summary

Gala Industries, Inc. in the United States seeks a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble Maag family equipment, including dryers and TWS systems, with emphasis on meeting delivery dates. You will balance rotors, mount components, and perform leak tests while following 2D drawings and safety protocols.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, forklift training, and willingness to work on-site at Eagle Rock VA with potential rotations to Roanoke. Emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (additional technical skills a plus)
• Mechanical background and a general understanding of tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks
• Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues
• Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand tools and power tools by referencing 2D assembly drawings
• Balance rotors on all size dryers using overhead cranes and balancing equipment
• Build and mount dryer component parts using hand tools and reference drawings
• Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings using soap water and air
• Engrave equipment name plates using engraver or laser marker or dot peen marker
• Fill out check sheets while assembling to ensure quality
• Assemble piping using hand and power tools
• Support management with other tasks as needed
