Job summary

Gala Industries, Inc. in Eagle Rock, VA is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble Maag family equipment, including dryers and TWS systems, with emphasis on meeting delivery dates.

You will balance rotors, mount components, and reference 2D drawings to ensure quality and reliability. The role requires a strong mechanical background, use of hand and power tools, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; mechanical background helpful.
• General understanding of tools and equipment.
• Experience in assembly/manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble dryer rotors and housings using hand and power tools referenced by drawings.
• Balance rotors on dryers of all sizes with cranes and balancing equipment.
• Assemble piping and components using hand and power tools per 2D drawings.
• Perform leak tests on dryer and tank housings with soap water and air.
• Engrave equipment name plates using engraver or marker.
• Fill out check sheets to ensure product quality.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
