Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a machine operator to produce and rework parts, read basic dimensional drawings, and set up conventional machines and CNC programs. The role requires comfort with tolerances, arithmetic, and metric/imperial conversions, with hands-on training and collaboration across shifts.

You will work onsite Monday through Friday, perform in-process inspection, maintain 5S and safety standards, and support on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Read basic dimensional drawings and tolerances.
• Arithmetic, fractions, decimals, and metric/imperial conversion.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, drills.
• Load, verify, and run CNC programs with offset adjustments.
• Complete assigned machine training and learn new machines or processes.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and understand tolerances.
• Operate conventional machines and CNC programs.
• Perform in-process inspection with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain work area and follow 5S and safety standards.
• Support on-time delivery by communicating delays.
