Job summary

Lenze Americas is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician in Uxbridge, MA to support a growing service operation. This onsite role involves disassembling gearboxes and motors, diagnosing issues, replacing damaged components, and performing tests to ensure optimal performance.

You will document repair reports, collaborate with the service team, and follow safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. A hands-on troubleshooter with experience in gearboxes and motors is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair or maintenance, preferably with gearboxes and motors.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to prioritize and meet customer needs; self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble gearboxes and motors for inspection and repair.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, including wear and damaged components.
• Replace damaged/faulty components as needed.
• Reassemble gearbox units and motors to specifications.
• Perform functional testing to ensure proper operation after repair.
• Document detailed repair reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams for complex troubleshooting.
