Job summary

The Rapid Group seeks a Pump & Motor Mechanic to disassemble, inspect, repair, test, and reassemble AC and DC electromechanical motors and related equipment. Onsite in Paterson, NJ, you will read work scopes, identify parts, and ensure repairs meet customer, safety, and quality standards.

You will document results, maintain quality records, and work with a team to complete assignments efficiently. This role demands troubleshooting skills, detail orientation, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with AC/DC motors and pumps.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for disassembly/assembly.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work scopes to determine status, authorizations and limitations.
• Disassemble basic electromechanical equipment and identify parts and conditions.
• Mark components, take photos, and document results accurately.
• Assemble pumps, motors and related equipment, including bearings and seals.
• Pretest electrical and mechanical components and document results.
• Troubleshoot known or suspected issues.
