Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead mission-critical build efforts for an on-site power generation plant in the Memphis/Southaven area. You will own site relationships, coordinate with engineering, operations, and construction teams, and report to construction leadership.

This full-time, on-site role requires relocation to Southaven, MS and a hands-on leader capable of delivering gas turbine generation, BOP, and medium‑voltage infrastructure at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale power generation or industrial construction projects.
• Deep expertise in construction management, commissioning, and site operations.
• Proven ability to lead on-site with authority and build trust with vendors and technical teams.
• Experience managing large programs with multiple vendors and dynamic priorities.
• Strong communication across disciplines, from field updates to escalations.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior construction representative for the Memphis / Southaven plant and manage relationships with EPC contractors, OEMs, and partners.
• Oversee end-to-end project execution from pre-construction through commissioning and turnover.
• Coordinate multiple vendors across civil, mechanical, process, and electrical scopes.
• Identify and mitigate risks to schedule, quality, safety, and operation readiness.
• Drive progress on generation and BOP construction and keep turbine and electrical work on track.
• Align schedules with company goals through cross-functional collaboration.
• Guide commissioning, start-up, and punch-out; resolve energization blockers.
• Deliver updates using KPIs and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Ensure design and build meet technical and quality standards.
• Perform quantity take-offs and field verifications to monitor progress.
• Manage change orders and control costs.
• Lead site safety initiatives (LOTO, NFPA 70E, arc-flash, hot work).
• Adapt to evolving plant needs and support partners beyond original scope.
