Job summary

Independent Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support a licensed pharmacist in a fully onsite pharmacy. The role involves preparing and labeling medications, maintaining patient records, and coordinating delivery routes.

Shifts include two closing shifts per week, with a potential shift differential for second shift. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and a National Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• 1 year of experience in high-volume pharmacy or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy activities not requiring pharmacist judgment under supervision.
• Maintain patient records.
• Set up, package, and label medication doses.
• Process equipment and supply orders, and prepare sterile products.
• Package and ship medications.
• Setup and optimize delivery routes.
• Maintain knowledge of safety hazards and drug handling.
• Notify Pharmacist staff of dispensing, storage or packaging issues.
• Rotate stock, supplies, and packaging materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of the registered and packaging spaces.
• Follow standard procedures with supervision approval.
