Job summary

Elevance Health's BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Customer Associate I in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role requires in-person engagement at 4751 Hamilton Wolf Rd, Ste 101, with an 8:30 am–5:30 pm CST schedule, Monday–Friday.

You will handle basic pharmacy-related inquiries by phone and email, helping customers with retail and mail-order prescriptions. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in an automated customer service environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; experience in an automated customer service environment.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or related certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the 340B program and specialty medications is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with benefits investigation and pharmacy PBM processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in healthcare information systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
• General knowledge of company pharmacy services, products, insurance benefits, contracts and claims preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer questions via telephone and written correspondence about pharmacy retail and mail order prescriptions.
• Develops and maintains positive customer relations; coordinates with internal functions to resolve requests.
• Interacts with subscribers, providers, benefit administrators, physician offices, and third-party representatives to provide support.
• Performs research to provide proactive solutions and ensures high quality resolution and follow-through.
