Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Navigator to support patient access services and prescription affordability. This onsite role in Cincinnati involves coordinating prior authorizations, assisting patients, and collaborating with clinic staff to optimize access to medications.

The ideal candidate holds an active pharmacy technician license, has 1–3 years of retail experience, and is proficient in Word/Excel while quickly learning pharmacy software and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Retail pharmacy technician experience 1-3 years
• Active pharmacy technician licensure / certification in the corresponding state
• Experience working with prior authorizations and copay assistance programs
• Lead tech or other leadership experience a plus (not required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel
• Ability to quickly learn other systems and programs (pharmacy dispensing software, electronic health records, etc.)
• High level of organization and high quality communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide liaison services for patients requiring high-cost retail prescription therapies and coordinate prior authorizations and patient assistance.
• Interface with office staff, providers and leadership to identify areas for process improvement in prescription access.
• Serve as primary contact for high-cost prescription access for assigned clinic(s).
• Educate providers, clinic staff and patients on prescription fulfillment value and ensure timely task execution.
• Coordinate delivery of prescriptions to patients and support KPI reporting for program performance.
• Participate in client and clinic meetings and lead discussions on prescription access as needed.
• Provide coverage during operating hours and extend work hours to meet objectives and ensure patient access.
• Work in clinic and remote locations as dictated by client needs and supply backup support.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
