Job summary

The Cigna Group in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a full-time Staff Fulfillment Pharmacist onsite. The role includes interpreting prescriptions, supervising technicians, and ensuring accurate dispensing. The position will relocate to Elgin, IL in January 2027.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm with a weekly on-call rotation 1–2 times per month. The role offers an annual bonus plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE Accreditated School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
• Current, active pharmacist license; willingness to obtain additional licensing as needed.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
• Customer-service oriented with focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability to changing environment and peak volume times.
• Flexible schedule for PTO coverage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy technicians and QA processes.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify details with prescribers.
• Contact doctors/patients to verify prescription data.
• Verify controlled substance validity.
• Confirm prescription data entered in system.
• Back up other pharmacists and train staff.
• Maintain quality, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Provide on-call coverage as assigned.
