Job summary

The Cigna Group, via Accredo Specialty Pharmacy in Newark, DE, is hiring full-time Staff Pharmacists to work onsite. Shifts include Sunday through Thursday or a Sunday/Mon-Thu schedule, with potential shift differentials.

You will interpret prescriptions, dispense medications, verify details with prescribers, and provide patient consultations. Qualified candidates have an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree, a current license, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D degree.
• Current Pharmacist license in good standing.
• 1+ year of relevant pharmacist experience.
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues; Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions; Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy; Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines; Ability to adapt in a changing environment; Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions and verify information with prescribers to expedite processing of orders.
• Verify prescription information entered in the system and contact physicians for authorization or transfer of prescriptions.
• Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions.
• Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced pharmacists as needed.
