Job summary

Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company is seeking a Lead Staff Fulfillment Pharmacist for our Elmhurst, IL location, with plans to move to Elgin in January 2027. The role involves leading technicians, interpreting prescriptions, and expediting order processing on a 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule Monday–Friday, with on-call rotation.

The position emphasizes quality, accuracy, customer service, and adherence to all regulations, requiring ACPE-accredited degree and active licensure.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD or B.S.).
• 1+ year relevant experience required.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• Willing to obtain additional licenses as needed.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and verify data.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify information to expedite orders.
• Track order status and resolve issues with orders.
• Back up pharmacists and train staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain quality and efficiency in daily operations.
