Job summary

System One is seeking a Performance Tester for a contract-to-hire onsite role in Maryland. You will design, execute, and analyze performance tests to ensure application scalability and reliability, translating objectives into concrete tests and improvements.

You will use LoadRunner, cloud testing (AWS/Azure), and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or Splunk to drive capacity planning and deliver actionable recommendations based on test results.

Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing and system tuning.
• Proficiency with LoadRunner or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze performance data and provide insights.
• Knowledge of cloud performance testing environments such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate test results and baselines.
• Experience with capacity planning and performance modeling.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like AppDynamics or Splunk.
• Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze performance tests to ensure scalability.
• Tune systems to meet performance objectives and reduce bottlenecks.
• Create forecasts and workload projections from trend data.
• Translate SLA and KPI requirements into testing objectives.
• Work with cloud performance testing in AWS/Azure.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on test findings.
• Develop performance models to anticipate future demand.
