UMass Memorial Health’s Respiratory Therapy team is seeking a per diem Respiratory Clinician II to support patients across Groton and Memorial Campus in Worcester. The role focuses on critical care, ventilator management, and diagnostics, with a 12-hour shift structure and a requirement to obtain or maintain MA licensure.

The position offers on-site responsibilities across campuses, a dynamic perioperative environment, and opportunities to contribute to patient care across multiple units.

Qualifications

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required for new hires.
• An Associate degree or equivalent in Respiratory Care is required.
• Must actively pursue and obtain MA license within 2 months of hire.
• Maintain current MA license during employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification is required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification is required at Memorial Campus.

Responsabilités

• Administers respiratory modalities per department policies.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation and provides respiratory support.
• Assists physician/anesthesia during intubations and bronchoscopies.
• Sets up and monitors ventilators and oxygen delivery equipment.
• Obtains arterial blood gases and performs blood draws for gas analysis.
