Job summary

Northern Light Health, in strategic partnership with Optum, seeks an on-site Front Desk/Registration Clerk in Portland, ME. You will perform patient check-in, insurance verification, data entry, and front-office duties in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires 1+ year in healthcare or related settings, HS diploma, and willingness to work weekends. Two weeks of paid training is provided, with shifts 11:00am-7:00pm on weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in a hospital, office, customer service, or phone support setting.
• Flu season influenza vaccination or commitment to receive it when available.
• Ability to work onsite in Portland, ME.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting.
• Handle front office duties: greet, check in patients, answer phones, collect co-pays and insurance payments, and process paperwork.
• Verify insurance eligibility/benefits and assist with registrations.
• Enter and verify patient data using computer systems in real time.
