UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit is hiring a per diem Pre-Registration Representative in Maine. You will accurately register patients by updating demographics and insurance information ahead of service, supporting clinicians and front-desk staff.

The role requires 7:00am–5:30pm hours, training onsite for 3–6 weeks, and a pay rate of $16.00–$29.00 per hour. This position emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and teamwork across departments.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of office or call center experience.
• Per diem availability 7:00am–5:30pm Mon–Fri.
• Influenza vaccination or commitment to receive.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Coordinate with departments to answer questions.
• Collect copays or liabilities prior to service.
• Maintain awareness of service-level metrics.
• Escalate issues to ensure timely registration.
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
