Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Physician Specialist-Oral Surgeon Per Diem to join our team in Trenton, NJ. The role involves surgical procedures on the mouth and jaws, managing complex extractions, tumor resections, and jaw corrections within correctional facilities, working closely with dental, medical, and correctional staff.

Qualifications

• Completed a residency and/or fellowship training programs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry.
• CDS License. DEA Certified.
• Graduate of accredited School of Dentistry or graduate of an accredited university with a DDS or DMD degree.
• Currently licensed and current DEA certification number.

Responsabilités

• Clinically examine, evaluate and diagnose conditions in patients referred by General Dentists through an internal referral process in the NJ DOC facilities.
• Provide follow-up consultations and care for patients treated clinically.
• Administers local anesthetics.
• Removes impacted, damaged, and non-restorable teeth.
• Performs surgery on the mouth and jaws in order to treat conditions such as jaw growth problems
