Competenze

• Must hold Doctorate degree (DDS or DMD) and valid DEA registration.
• Must hold one of the following certifications: ARC BLS, AHA BLS or AHA ACLS.

Mansioni

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations and oral health assessments.
• Diagnose and treat oral diseases, infections, and dental emergencies.
• Provide restorative dentistry, including fillings and preventive treatments.
• Perform routine and surgical extractions as clinically indicated.
• Manage dental pain and urgent dental needs through daily sick-call services.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with dental assistants, physicians, nursing staff, and correctional personnel.
• Follow all correctional healthcare policies, security protocols, and infection-control standards.

Overview

This locum tenens dentist position offers a stable weekday schedule, strong compensation, and full clinical autonomy within a secure correctional healthcare environment. You will provide essential dental care to an underserved patient population without the pressure of insurance billing, production quotas, or high‑volume clinic demands. This role includes malpractice coverage, a travel stipend, and the support of an experienced onsite medical and security team.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (DDS, DMD, or equivalent)
• Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Any one of the following valid certifications:
  • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Any of the following dental degrees or certifications:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD)

Key Responsibilities

Schedule & Shift Details

• Monday–Friday, Day Shift
• Optional 3–4 day work week available
• No evenings, weekends, or on‑call responsibilities
