Job summary

Enterprise Mangement Solutions Inc in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to provide peer-based recovery support, skill-building, and residential assistance to individuals facing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges. This role is onsite in a supportive housing setting with some community-based support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist credential required.
• Personal lived experience with recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges required.
• Minimum 1 year of sustained recovery strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in behavioral health or related human services preferred.
• Background check and onboarding/training required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals in recovery.
• Use lived experience to promote hope, empowerment, resiliency, and self-advocacy.
• Assist clients with recovery planning, goal setting, coping skills, and community connections.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups and wellness activities.
• Support daily living skills and navigation of housing, employment, and benefits.
• Collaborate with counselors and program staff to support client goals.
• Maintain a safe, structured residential environment.
• Document daily observations and communicate tenant concerns as needed.
• Follow confidentiality and HIPAA, COMAR, CARF, Medicaid standards.
