Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is seeking a Payroll Analyst to oversee end-to-end payroll processing for US and UK employees. You will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, coordinate with HR for deadlines, and maintain accurate payroll reporting.

The role requires hands-on Dayforce HCM experience, strong Excel skills, and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies while supporting continuous improvement in payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience in handling multi-state payroll and compliance reporting.
• 3+ years experience supporting US payroll operations and payroll compliance requirements.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience performing payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll compliance reviews.
• Experience supporting hourly non-exempt workforce timekeeping administration.
• Proven ability to develop, analyze, reconcile, and present payroll and workforce data to support compliance, financial reporting, and business decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance regulations.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Human Resources, Finance, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer bi-weekly, monthly, and off cycle payrolls for salaried and hourly employees across GMPPU (US & UK).
• Ensure compliance with US federal and state payroll regulations, international pay practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Human Resources for payroll deadlines, auditing, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain payroll reporting including earnings statements, tax filings, and wage garnishments.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries timely and professionally.
• Support payroll system configuration updates in Dayforce HCM.
• Adhere to auditing procedures to ensure accuracy for each payroll cycle.
