Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health, Inc. is seeking a Practice Representative to support the GI Endoscopy Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. This on-site role runs 6:30am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, focusing on patient check-in, scheduling, and information gathering.

You will interact with patients and staff, ensure accurate demographics and payments, and help maintain efficient patient flow while upholding privacy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, staff, and the public by phone and in person in a courteous, helpful manner.
• Prepares schedules, medical records and other documents to quality standards; maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs check-in, registration and demographic/fiscal verification; confirms insurance pre-certifications and collects co-pays.
• Directs patients to service areas and supports timely patient flow; enters visit billing tickets.
