Job summary

Firstsource Solutions USA, LLC is hiring a Patient Financial Advocate to screen patients on-site at hospitals in Shawnee Mission, KS for eligibility assistance programs. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with pay up to $21 hourly depending on experience.

You will review census and referrals to identify self-pay patients, initiate applications, and document progress in hospital systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years experience in medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients for eligibility assistance on-site at hospitals.
• Initiate the application process for State, County and/or Federal programs.
• Document patient information on the in-house screening sheet.
• Record screening results in the onsite tracking tool and hospital computer system.
• Identify and assist with enrollment applications for applicable programs.
• Coordinate with the Patient Advocate Specialist to develop ongoing patient relationships.
