Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners in Tyler, TX is seeking a Patient Access Associate Specialist on a PRN, on-site basis. This entry-level role performs admitting duties for patients, collects insurance information, verifies eligibility, and assigns MRNs while delivering compassionate, compliant service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
• High School Diploma/GED Required

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Collect insurance information and schedule or assign MRNs while ensuring accuracy.
• Verify eligibility and assist with patient education and consent forms.
• Operate the telephone switchboard for incoming/outgoing calls and coordinate with care teams.
• Support POS collections and documentation to help achieve clean claim rates.
• Conduct pre-registration by obtaining demographic and insurance information.
• Explain and distribute patient documents and ensure proper signatures and witness information.
