First Roles is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an on-site, full-time role at RSFH - BSSF Hospital in Charleston, SC. The 3rd shift (Fri, Sat, Sun, 7pm–7:30am) offers a starting pay of $17.00/hour plus incentives, with tuition reimbursement, certifications paid by the company, and career advancement opportunities.

The role entails admitting patients, assigning MRNs, validating insurance, collecting payments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to improve patient and client experiences.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid).
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Operate the telephone switchboard for messages and inter-office calls.
• Provide compassionate customer service in all patient interactions.
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents as required.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required forms.
