Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an onsite role at RSFH - BSSF Hospital in Charleston, SC. The position is PRN with responsibilities across admitting, insurance verification, and patient education to support accurate pre-registration and smooth service flow.

The role requires at least 1 year of customer service experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to learn and comply with ABN and POS procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI.
• Willingness to learn and follow regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle admitting duties for patients admitted for services.
• Operate the hospital's switchboard for calls and messages.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and education materials.
• Assist with pre-registration and collect demographic and insurance info.
• Support POS and billing processes to ensure clean claim rate.
