Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Patient Access Operations Manager for an on-site role in Hartford, CT. You will lead inpatient admissions, ED registration, and financial counseling, driving process improvements and staff performance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration with 3+ years in patient access and supervisory experience, and a strong focus on service quality and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of patient access/intake experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of patient access operations including registration, POS, medical necessity, bed management and collections.
• Experience in a complex, multi-site environment preferred.
• Emergency Department experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction to assigned staff in inpatient admissions, outpatient registration, ED registration, financial counseling, and other onsite/offsite locations.
• Manage front-end unbilled management and denial prevention.
• Provide operational guidance to ensure service integration and quality performance.
• Serve as primary liaison for registration and pre-service functions across multiple areas.
• Develop training materials, systems, procedures, and programs as subject matter expert.
• Lead the redesign of registration processes to improve patient experience, data integrity and staff productivity.
• Manage follow-up to customer complaints and issues.
• Conduct regular performance feedback, evaluations, and goal reviews.
• Analyze and display data; develop policies and procedures.
