The Behavioral Wellness Center At Girard is seeking a compassionate Community Recovery Specialist to support the Goldman Clinic Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP Level 2.1) in Philadelphia. This part-time, onsite role focuses on engagement, groups, and recovery planning in a structured clinical setting.

Applicants must hold an active CPS or CRS certification, have at least one year of recovery-focused experience, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Active CPS or CRS certification is required.
• At least 1 year of recovery-focused experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support and engagement to individuals in recovery.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery-focused groups and discussions.
• Support daily program structure, attendance, and participant engagement.
• Assist clinical and nursing staff with program operations and participant needs.
• Conduct safety monitoring and support a structured therapeutic environment.
• Transport participants to medical, legal, or community-based appointments as needed.
• Document observations and maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Support relapse prevention and recovery planning.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.
