Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electromechanical Technician in San Jose, CA to assemble, align, test, and calibrate optically based instruments and electromechanical systems in a production/prototype environment.

The role involves using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DVMs for validation, plus troubleshooting to ensure high quality, reliable systems. This is a contract-to-hire onsite position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of experience as an Electromechanical Assembler and Test Technician in a production or prototype environment.
• Hands-on experience with sub-assembly and final assembly of electromechanical systems.
• Experience with lasers and optical equipment is preferred.
• Experience aligning optics and optical subassemblies is highly desirable.
• Experience working with instrumentation and precision assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and align optical subassemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Assemble, set up, and calibrate optically based instruments and complete sub-assembly and final assembly of electromechanical systems.
• Perform system tests and execute final testing prior to release to downstream work areas.
• Use oscilloscopes, frequency counters, logic analyzers, and DVMs to verify system performance.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve failures or performance problems.
