MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking an Opto/Mechanical Technician in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on assembling optical systems, following procedures, and validating at the system level using lab instruments.

You will audit kits, assemble subassemblies, test levels, and package completed assemblies daily when ready. The position requires at least 1 year of related experience, comfort in a clean room, and proficient data entry in Excel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment.
• Experience entering data in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers.
• Prepare subassembly components.
• Follow written procedures or drawings.
• Assemble and debug systems with optical, mechanical, and electronic parts.
• Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at system level.
• Align, optimize, and evaluate transmission and stability.
• Package final assembly daily if completed.
• Cross training as trainee or trainer.
