Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking an Electro‑Mechanical Systems Assembly & Test Technician in Milpitas for a 12‑month contract. You will assemble, integrate, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot complex precision equipment and integrated electro‑mechanical systems, using software tools and diagnostic instruments.

The role emphasizes system‑level assembly and testing over PCB work, with a focus on semiconductor tools, optical instruments, and metrology equipment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly and precision equipment testing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience with calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, integration, calibration, functional testing, and troubleshooting of complex electro‑mechanical systems.
• Build, align, and validate mechanical and opto‑mechanical assemblies used in semiconductor tools or optical instruments.
• Interpret complex mechanical drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Execute test procedures and assist in developing test methods and troubleshooting processes.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system‑level failures, identify root causes, and perform adjustments or rework.
• Test digital and analog systems using diagnostic tools and instrumentation.
• Use software interfaces and test programs to calibrate, validate functionality, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Verify system functionality after assembly, testing, or repairs.
• Assist with test equipment selection, setup, and configuration for system validation.
• Document test results and corrective actions in technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to meet quality, reliability, and production objectives.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and assembly requirements in hands‑on environments.
