Spokane Eye Clinic, part of Prism Vision Group, seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant for an onsite role in Spokane, WA. The position conducts measurements and tests to support diagnosis and treatment, with occasional travel to other Prism locations.

You will document findings in EMR, assist with patient education, and help maintain exam room readiness while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• OA1 Experience: 0–2 years ophthalmic assistant experience.
• OAII Experience: 2+ years ophthalmic assistant experience.

Responsabilités

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Record ocular and systemic history and visual acuity.
• Perform testing (OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry).
• Conduct lensometry, refractometry, slit lamp exam with tonometry and anterior chamber assessment.
• Perform advanced ophthalmic procedures as directed.
• Act as scribe and enter data into EMR or paper charts.
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
• Assist with informed consent and office procedures.
• Educate patients and manage patient flow; maintain exam rooms.
• Comply with state and Federal regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain a positive, cooperative, professional attitude.
