Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking an Estimator for a full-time, long-term onsite role at TVA Watts Bar Nuclear in Spring City, TN.

The position involves estimating all aspects, data input, and coordination with clients, with supervision to guide junior staff. Three+ years in estimating and related construction experience are preferred, with a salary range disclosed by the state pay transparency laws.

Qualifications

• Three plus years experience in related estimating assignments.
• Some college or post secondary education preferred or minimum of three years related experience in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance for site Estimating personnel.
• Perform detailed quantity take offs from drawings.
• Assist with and troubleshoot field estimating issues.
• Produce total project cost estimates for client to support their budgets for expenses and capital projects.
• Determine labor hours and dollars for engineering, procurement, maintenance, modifications, and construction activities.
• Work with database on applying unit rates to direct work activities and interface with construction/operations on applying productivity factors and input on indirect construction/operations costs.
