Job summary

The Day & Zimmermann Group, Inc. is seeking an Estimator for a full-time, long-term onsite position at TVA Watts Bar Nuclear in Spring City, TN. You will be responsible for all aspects of estimating, including input to projects and limited supervision of junior staff.

Minimum three years in estimating within a construction environment is preferred, with some college or post-secondary education. Benefits include comprehensive medical and family leave options and a stable, long-term role.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of estimating experience.
• Some college or post secondary education preferred or minimum of three years related experience in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance for site Estimating personnel.
• Perform detailed quantity take offs from drawings.
• Assist with and troubleshoot field estimating issues.
• Produce total project cost estimates for client to support their budgeting.
• Determine labor hours and dollars for engineering, procurement, maintenance, modifications, and construction activities.
• Apply unit rates and productivity factors to direct work activities; interface with construction/operations on costs.
