Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for Clinton Hospital in Clinton, MA. This full-time night-shift role runs 10pm–8am with every other weekend, located on-site at Clinton, MA, 40 hours per week.

The candidate will conduct routine and complex lab testing across departments, ensuring specimen integrity, equipment calibration, and timely reporting of results to clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex lab tests across departments per CLIA requirements.
• Assess specimen acceptability and maintain specimen integrity throughout testing.
• Set up and maintain laboratory equipment; document maintenance and calibration.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation; calibrate per procedures.
• Adhere to quality control policies and communicate results, including critical values.
