Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Network Operational Resident Engineer to deliver on-site network support and proactive services at the customer site in Columbus, OH, five days a week. The role focuses on ensuring SLA-driven satisfaction, configuring and validating network architectures, and driving successful deployments.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in design, implementation, and operations of large-scale IP networks.
Strong experience with JUNOS CLI.
Deep expertise with QFX and EX platforms (switching and routing).
Experience in large enterprise or data center environments, including EVPN/VXLAN.
Strong knowledge of core routing protocols (BGP – iBGP/eBGP, and OSPF).
Experience with Juniper Mist Wireless Assurance.
Familiarity with Juniper technologies such as EVPN, VXLAN, and EZ-LAG.
Automation experience using Ansible, YAML, and Juniper PyEZ.
Scripting experience in Python.
Proven expertise in network design, deployment, and optimization.

Responsibilities

Conduct network information-gathering workshops to understand the customer’s environment and requirements.
Analyze customer structure and processes to ensure sustainable, highly available networks.
Design, test, and validate features and architectures in a lab before production.
Develop and execute deployment/validation plans for production networks.
Test and validate patches in pre-production environments before live deployment.
Troubleshoot network issues across environments and manage JTAC cases.
Manage hardware lifecycle activities including RMA requests.
Provide regular status reports on network health and progress.
Lead customer workshops to review issues and present solutions.
Deliver knowledge transfer to customer teams on configuration and best practices.
Collaborate with peer engineers to share lessons learned.
